M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University has experience in passing both institutional and specialized (program) accreditation.
In 2013and 2018 the university was successfully accredited by IQAA (Independent Kazakh agency for quality assurance in education - www.iqaa.kz) for a period of 5 years. (https://iqaa.kz/en/decisions-on-accreditation/hei-s/institutional-accreditation-of-heis).
In 2014, 56 bachelor, 40 master and 7 PhD degree programswere accredited by IQAA.
In 2017, 18 bachelor, 8 master and 7 PhD degree programs were accredited by IQAA (http://iqaa.kz/en/decisions-on-accreditation/hei-s/specialized-programme-accreditation )
In 2019, 58 bachelor, 45 master and 7 PhD degree programs were accredited by IQAA (http://iqaa.kz/en/decisions-on-accreditation/hei-s/specialized-programme-accreditation ). The doctoral degree programme “Chemical technology of inorganic substances” was accredited in IQAA in the framework of ERASMUS+ program's project «Promotion internationalization of research through establishment of cycle 3 QA system in line with the European agenda» (C3QA) (https://c3-qa.com).
Some degree programmes of the university were accredited by German agency ASIIN (Accreditation Agency Specialised in Accrediting Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics – www.asiin.de). In October 2015, profiled master study programs "Production of silicate materials", "Synthesis of polycomponent mineral fertilizers" and "Food Engineering and Food Safety" implemented within the framework of State Program of Industrial-Innovative Development of Kazakhstan (SPIID -2) were successfully evaluated by the European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTN).
In April 2017, profiled master study programs "Innovative technologies of inorganic acids and salts", " Modern building materials" and "Safe technologies of processing agricultural products" implemented within the framework of State Program of Industrial-Innovative Development of Kazakhstan (SPIID -2), also a bachelor study program “Processing of mineral and technogenic raw materials” developed in pursuance of the budget program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan 204 "Provision by Personnel with Higher and Post-Graduate Education" passed international expertise conducted by the European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTN). These study programs were awarded by quality labels Chemical Technology Euromaster® and Chemistry Eurobachelor®.
